Summer 2021

After the big snow dump in February and our spring bumper crop of beautiful double tulips, ranunculus, and anemones the farm slowed to a crawl (well at least the harvest side did, no down time for the planting crew!). In fact planting for flowers next May begins this month. We survived the heat blast with very little damage (except the water bill) and the dahlias didn’t skip a beat in pumping out blooms for us. We continue to support our local restaurants (Nina’s Lake Cushman Cafe and Hoodsport Pizzeria) with fresh table flowers and they have been gracious hosts for our “pop-up” flower stands and spring market tent. We are adding a bouquet subscription service and DIY flower buckets to our product lineup as well as in discussions to host some Workshops. Stay tuned as we continue to grow.

Cheers💜

We close out our first year in business with an abundance of flowers already in the ground for 2021. We were busy in September putting down new mulch in many of the beds as the summer season ended and in late October we set up two high tunnels (unheated greenhouses) to cover the 2800 tulips, 1500 anemones, and 1000 ranunculus planted in late September/early October. Today we started the first round of 2000 lisianthus seeding for flowers in early June. Wishing you and your families a safe and joyous New Year. Cheers!!
